HP Chromebook x360 data recovery
We recover files from all 10 HP Chromebook x360 models (sold 2017–2025), including the Chromebook x360 11 G1 EE, Chromebook x360 11 G2 EE, Chromebook x360 11 G3 EE and Chromebook x360 11 G4 EE. Chromebooks keep most files in your Google account, but anything saved only in Downloads or on the device needs the Chromebook itself to start and unlock with your password.
Where your files are
The HP Chromebook x360 has its storage (eMMC flash) soldered to the motherboard. There is no drive to take out, so if the laptop won’t start we repair the board itself to bring the data back.
Chromebook storage is encrypted to your Google account, so the data can only be read on the original board, signed in as you. We repair the board rather than removing chips.
This series comes in 11.6, 12.5 and 14-inch versions; the size is part of the model number. Chromebook storage is soldered to the board and encrypted to your Google account.
