HP Chromebook data recovery

There is no drive to take out, so if the laptop won’t start we repair the board itself to bring the data back.
Chromebook Elite c1030, Chromebook Elite Dragonfly Chromebook: The laptop stores everything on an NVMe M.2 SSD. Windows 11 laptops like this usually have device encryption or BitLocker switched on, so have your Microsoft account ready: the recovery key is stored there.
Chromebook storage is encrypted to your Google account, so the data can only be read on the original board, signed in as you. We repair the board rather than removing chips.
This series comes in 11.6, 14 and 15.6-inch versions; the size is part of the model number. Chromebook storage is soldered to the board and encrypted to your Google account. This business Chromebook has an M.2 SSD, but the data is still encrypted to your Google account and can only be read on the original board.
